When placing orders on our website, customers have the option of two shipping methods—USPS Media Mail, and USPS Priority Mail. Each method reflects a different cost, and a difference in shipping time.

Books ordered via USPS Media Mail (a discounted rate), typically arrive in seven to ten business days. Version 1.0 and 2.0 CD-ROMs shipped via USPS Media Mail typically arrive in three to five business days. Books and Version 1.0 and 2.0 CD-ROMs ordered via USPS Priority Mail (an expedited method) and typically arrive in one to three business days. Because of their much lighter weight, we upgrade Version 1.0 and 2.0 CD-ROMs to USPS Priority Mail at no additional cost.

To calculate the shipping cost of a product, we charge a base shipping and handling fee, plus an incremental charge for each item you purchase. For orders in which USPS Media Mail is the specified delivery method, the base rate is $3.00. For orders in which USPS Priority Mail is the specified delivery method, the base rate is $6.00. This flat-base charge is a once-per-order amount, and does not change depending on how many items are contained in a single order.

After the flat-base charge, there is an incremental charge for each item you purchase. Therefore, your total shipping and handling amount includes a flat-base charge of $3.00, plus incremental charges for each product you purchase. The incremental charge for each product is as follows:
